The Blake Family | Grand Rapids Newborn Session

Lots of firsts around here! This session happened to be my first newborn in the studio! Leah applied to be one of my models, and gave me creative freedom. I pulled out this white, polka dot linen dress for her, to which we joked about her looking like she was ready to frolic through a field in England or something along those lines. It is a pretty romantic/whimsical dress. She just rocked it. For baby River, I kept it simple with an oat colored wrap. For being a little “older” for a newborn, he was just so chill. As soon as he was swaddled he fell asleep and snoozed the entire time during his 60 minute session. His older brother is so sweet with him. One of my favorite moments was when brother laid his head down on baby, so gently! It warmed my heart.
