Hello there! I'm Dana. I love a good cup of strong coffee. Between growing my business and raising an incredibly strong-willed toddler, I'm powered by all that caffeine. I'm an enneagram 6. I love connecting with people but also enjoy time by myself. I'm not a huge fan of small talk, but I love really getting to know someone: their goals, interests, dreams. Give me all the REAL details. I love warm, bold, colorful imagery that exudes emotion.

 

I live in Grand Rapids, MI with my two cats, three year old little boy, and my handsome husband. We have a lot of fun together. We love to travel, try new restaurants and just be adventurous.

 

I have over 12 years experience in photography. I graduated from Central Michigan University (Fire Up!) with my degree in Art and specifically, photography.

 

I am happy to capture some of the most precious memories for families and I hope to help moms feel and see how beautiful they truly are.

Session Info

They're only little for a little while. You blink and your baby is walking you blink again and they are going to preschool. It doesn't slow down from there! Before you know it, you'll be sending your little one off to college. The best gift you can give yourself is memories to look back and remember what it was like holding your baby, or what their little hand felt like engulfed in yours. My goal is for you be able to look at your images and be able to step back into that exact moment. In addition to digital files, each session comes with a portrait credit which can be applied to a luxurious velvet or leather album (my favorite for telling your story) or a beautiful hand-torn deckled edge print.

About the Studio

I recently opened up a studio location in a historic Grand Rapids Warehouse that used to make furniture back in the day. When you walk in to the studio you'll find high ceilings, white painted brick, beautiful tall windows and original hardwood floors. There's so much character and is such a beautiful backdrop for maternity and newborn sessions. I'm happy to offer the space as an alternative to an outdoor location if the weather isn't behaving.
To make things even easier for you, I have an optional client wardrobe for mamas and a wide variety of wraps and swaddles for baby. We can always set up a time prior to your session to check out and see if something fits your needs.

How it Works

I find it best to start with a quick 20 minute phone call to go over the details and answer any questions you may have. If it sounds like were a good fit, we can get your session scheduled! All that's needed to reserve a date is $250 for the session fee and a little paperwork.Schedule a callStep One
Once you're booked I'll send you my session prep guide! This will go over what to expect next and even has a little outfit inspiration guide included. We'll plan a session around what your envisioning. Family and Lifestyle sessions typically last around 60-90 minutes. Newborn sessions can last up to 3 hours. Have a great sessionStep Two
Unposed family photographerThree weeks after your session you'll receive your gallery of 50 proofs edited in a raw, authentic style. Collections start at $600 and include digitals and a portrait credit to use in my store. Products in my store are handcrafted one-of-a-kind, heirloom quality keepsakes.
